But instead, you throw the old tree into the dump.
The Garden District Neighborhood Association promotes sustainability to neighborhood residents.
“We are in the middle of the Green Corridor, a living laboratory of environmental sustainability, in the very region that wants to promote environmental sustainability,” said Scott Spiker, City of Milwaukee’s 13th District. Congressman said.
This new initiative turns live old Christmas trees into mulch and uses it to revitalize community gardens in the spring.
