The Khalsa Garden Club of Marco Island Members met on January 9th at the Rose Hall of the Marco Island Library.
The guest speaker was Garden Club member Connie Rowley, a National Garden Club Certified Flower Show Judge, who spoke on “The ABCs of Floral Design from a Judge’s Perspective.”

Lowry next created a white round vase design with asymmetric perforations in the vase featuring engineered aglaonema leaves and orange protea flowers. This is a spatial thrust design of a black vase with sansevieria spikes accented by pink calla lilies.After the demonstration, the club drew two of his designs that Lowry had made before the demonstration.
The club’s second vice president and membership chair, Monique Doyle, introduced three new members at the meeting and welcomed them to the club. New members are Ellen Norton, Gloria Fabjanic and Cathy Stark.
The Khalsa Garden Club of Marco Island is an IRC Section 501(c)3 organization and a member of the Federation of Florida Garden Clubs. Membership is open to anyone interested in gardening, floral design, and environmental issues who has resided in Collier County for five months or more.
The Khalsa Garden Club of Marco Island is held on the second Monday of each month from October through April in the Rose Hall of the Marco Island Branch of the Collier County Library.
