The Fairy Garden Trail will return to Davie Dogwood Park for the fifth time this spring. Visit Palestine announced on Friday that registration has opened for the 2023 edition of the Fairy Garden Trail, and Palestine Tourism and Marketing Manager Mary Raum said the popular community project has some lofty goals. has been set.
“This has been a community-driven project since day one, when we asked our friends on Facebook if they were interested in helping,” says Raum. “Five years later, he set the goal of asking the community to build 100 of his fairy gardens to welcome visitors to Palestine at the 85th Annual Texas Dogwood Trails Celebration.”
A paved ADA accessible trail is open to all, along with a 5.5-mile driving trail that makes for some great scenery. A dirt hiking portion of the trail is also available, with a gentle incline and descent back to the trail entrance. The hiking portion of the trail is also accessible by scooter and stroller.
“Visitors can follow the signs to the pavilion in the center of the park,” Raum said. “The Fairy Garden Trail is northeast of the pavilion and restrooms.”
The Fairy Garden Trail is a community project that transforms part of Davie Dogwood Park into a magical trail for locals and visitors alike. Entry is free, but there are guidelines and rules to keep the trails as natural as possible.
By completing the online entry form, participants can start planning for the 2023 Fairy Garden Trail. The project organizer will inform the participants on her March 8th of the assigned plot. The installation date is He March 10th to He March 16th.
A free Fairy Garden Workshop is scheduled for March 14th, the registration deadline.
Judging will be completed between March 17th and March 19th, and winners will be notified by email and social media post by March 25th.
