Garden City Bank Robber Threatened To Use Weapon: Nassau Police


GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Nassau County police are looking for the man who robbed a Garden City bank Tuesday afternoon.

The man entered the TD Bank at 855 Franklin Avenue at 1:00 p.m., handed a note to the cashier demanding cash, and threatened to use a weapon, though he never showed it. The teller complied and the man fled on foot with the cash.

At the time of the robbery, the bank had eight employees. No one was injured.

The robber was a fair-skinned, average-built man about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He wore a gray winter jacket and a black mask.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers remain anonymous.
