As winter settles in Wisconsin, the 30th Annual PBS Wisconsin Garden & Landscape Expo will bring spring-like warmth to the Alliant Energy Center in Madison February 10-12. Event hours are Friday, February 10th from 12:00pm to 7:00pm. Saturday, February 11, 9am-6pm; Sunday, February 12, 10am-4pm.
Day tickets to the Garden & Landscape Expo are $8 in advance and $10 on the day. Admission is free for children 12 and under. A 2-day pass can be purchased in advance for $13 and $15 on the day. 3-day passes are available for $16 in advance and $18 on the day.

Advance ticket retailers are conveniently located at various support offices throughout the state. A complete list is available at wigardenexpo.com. Visitors can also purchase advance tickets on the website until February 8th. Additional charges apply for parking at the Alliant Energy Center.
PBS Wisconsin collaborates with the Horticulture Department of the University of Wisconsin-Madison to host community educational events and fundraising activities. All proceeds support PBS Wisconsin’s quality programs, educational initiatives, and events that enrich Wisconsin’s community. Advance discount tickets are available now at wigardenexpo.com.
This year’s event features the latest innovations in gardening and landscaping. A wealth of information and advice is provided, including lush foliage, colorful flowers, vibrant spring designs, and delicious bounties from home gardens and Wisconsin farms.
Visitors are invited to explore the annual Garden & Landscape Expo Farmers Market on Sunday, February 12 from 10am to 4pm. Farmers markets bring together farmers, food artisans and local food retailers. Products available on the market include artisan cheeses and fresh cheese curds, traditional pork, beef, lamb, herbal teas, fine chocolates and more.
Highlights of this year’s event include:
- Over 200 exhibitor booths We sell seeds, plants, landscaping services, books, tools, lawn mowers and other exciting products for gardens and yards of all sizes.
- Over 125 free educational seminars and demonstrations Best Houseplants for Midwest Homes, Gardening for Seniors and Disabled, Growing Indoor Citrus Trees, Home Scale Grain Production, Perennial Garden Care, Foraging, Food Preservation, Wisconsin on topics such as the cultivation of garlic.
- Extension Specialist, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Horticulture Department It can be utilized to provide insight, plant identification and tips for gardeners and amateur landscapers of all levels.
- Garden Bistro – Open noon to 6 PM on Fridays and 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Garden Bistro, located in the Atrium, serves farm-to-table fare including salads, sandwiches, and soups throughout the weekend.
- PBS KIDS Nature Cats Backyard – Cultivate a love of gardening and the outdoors with the whole family at Nature Cat’s Backyard! In addition to a variety of educational gardening activities, this area has a swing set, basketball court, trampoline, and putting green. Every day is a ‘Family Day’ at the Garden & Landscape Expo, with special highlights on weekends such as welcoming Nature his Cat and Daniel his Tiger.
- Garden & Landscape Expo T-shirts and totes – Show off your love of gardening and PBS Wisconsin with Garden & Landscape Expo tees and totes. $20 for a t-shirt and $22 for a tote! Pick it up at the PBS Wisconsin booth. Proceeds support PBS Wisconsin.
- Garden & Landscape EXPO Photo Contest Bring another form of art, imagery and perspective to your event. Discover stunning work by Wisconsin amateur photographers that captures the natural beauty of Wisconsin. Attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite photo in the Viewers’ Choice Awards, which will be announced on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
- captivating colors Standard flower show – All day from Friday to Sunday.The title of this year’s Standard Flower Show hosted by the Madison District Garden Club is captivating colorsA National Garden Club jury evaluates exhibits and viewers can vote for their daily favorites at the Garden & Landscape Expo.
- flower design challenge – Saturday afternoon 12:30-1:15 Demo Stage A. Based on popular TV shows chopped, four judges of the Standard Flower Show, each creating a floral design at the same time, without knowing what is in the ‘basket’. Designers describe their inspirations, and the audience picks their favorites.
- Non-profit organizations specializing in various plant species, rain gardens, rock gardens, conservation efforts, etc. will have booths to share information.
- Exciting Garden & Landscape Expo Raffle Win prizes including landscape packages, equipment, decorations, tools and more. Raffle ticket proceeds support PBS Wisconsin.
