The Warriors will be put to the test with superstar guard Stephen Curry on the sidelines.
Curry suffered a left shoulder injury last week — an illness expected to keep him out for “several weeks.” Curry has been playing MVP-level basketball for Golden State this season, averaging 30.0 points per game and He has 6.8 assists and 6.0 rebounds.
Rising star Jordan Poole is expected to replace most of Curry’s scoring, averaging 26.8 points per game as a starter and 14.1 points per game as a reserve. Offseason addition Donte Di Vincenzo also stepped up big in the first game without Curry, posting his season-high 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Warriors will face a poor Knicks team that currently has the longest winning streak in the NBA, seven.
In that seven-game winning streak, Julius Randle looked like an All-Star again, averaging 26.7 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists. RJ Barrett increased his play to record 22.3 points, while Branson averaged 20.3 points and 5.7 assists.

Will Stephen Curry face the Knicks?
Curry suffered a left shoulder injury in the Warriors’ loss to the Pacers on December 14. After his MRI the next day, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Curry would be out for “several weeks” due to the injury.
