A Nassau County police officer who responded to a call to the disturbance was hit by a car driven by the fugitive on Friday morning, police said.
Police said the officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred on the Jericho Turnpike near Sixth Avenue, where police said an officer was beaten after answering a 911 call at 8:12 a.m.
The suspect was later arrested after crashing on Stewart Avenue, police said.
Charges are pending against the unidentified suspect.
