From February 7th to May 9th (final exams will be completed after May 9th), the Purdue Extension will be offering a statewide Virtual Master Gardener Basic Training Class.

Several counties have come together to offer this program that includes local county connect times. Weekly statewide live webinars. In Montgomery County, local county connect hours will be online Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 pm. This will be delivered live virtual via an online Zoom call.

Its primary purpose is to train volunteers to support Purdue Extension, which provides home gardening education in local communities. Purdue EMG is trained in horticulture and helps us fulfill this educational role through volunteer work on various projects.

The 13-week program costs $180.

Through this class you will learn more about horticulture, landscaping, gardening and growing houseplants.
