Basic computer knowledge and experience with POS systems a plus. Duties include greeting customers as they enter and leave the facility, providing excellent and professional customer service, creating sales referrals, cross-selling products and introducing new products, accurate sales calls, bagging merchandise, couponing including respecting, collecting payments, and providing proper change.
You are responsible for counting the contents of the cash register drawer at the end of each shift, maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area, and making sure your guests are happy and comfortable. You may be responsible for checking materials and equipment, and reporting when inventory is low. Cashiers often stand for long periods of time, repeat the same movements, and use their hands to manipulate, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
